Nothing quite like Sylvie Guillem

When I say there's nothing like Sylvie Guillem, I mean it. She is amazing point blank. She has this extra-ordinary control and grace about her that makes you not doubt her when you watch her dance.

This is Sylvie when she was a student at the Paris Opera Ballet Academy. She's being taught the Grand Pas Classique by Yvette Chauvire (another great Frenh ballerina).

This is her dancing one of the Kitri variations from Don Quixote when she's older. So effortless and strong!



This is the end part of a documentary about Sylvie Guillem. The 1st part is her with the Wilis and after that, it's her as Giselle in the 'mad' scene.

Diana Vishneva & Sylvie Guillem

Here's Diana Vishneva performing the Grand Pas Classique. Too bad she stuffed her fouettes at the beginning of the oas de deux cos she has so much control!



And here is SYLVIE GUILLEM performing the Grand Pas Classique. Personally, I prefer Sylvie. By the way, the video makes her look a lot fatter than she really is. In reality, she is a stick ;)



And finally, here is Diana Vishneva performing a Kitri variation from Don Quixote. Eve, this is the ballet we're watching. Knowing that I have a love for European accents, I love this ballet because it is Spanish. The Spanish have this attitude which I love and I love how they wear red and have flowers on the side of the side of their heads =P
